Butterflies
Butterflies seem like little colorful love notes from God. They are the perfect subjects for painting; color, pattern, and design forming an endless array of artistic possibilities. Butterflies also hold deeper significance in that they represent rebirth and renewal. The idea that something resembling a fat, hairy worm could be reborn into a magnificent, graceful butterfly is a message of hope. It makes me think of the line from the old hymn, "for such a worm as I."
Could God be showing us His plan for us?
He wants to transform us into something beautiful. It is the hope of glory that inspires us to move forward and to trust Him. Every time I see a butterfly, I am reminded that God is a redeemer of broken, ugly things. It is my hope that these paintings are a visual reminder of God’s love for you and of His desire to create something beautiful and meaningful out of your life.
