Into the Garden
The strongest memories I have of my mother is of her working in her garden. It was her favorite place to be. Although I don’t have the same gift of growing that she had, I still love the act of gardening. The smell of a tomato plant, the feel of the soil in my hands, and the thrill of watching my little seedlings sprout and grow all bring such joyful satisfaction. This series of paintings is meant to capture that bliss: The serene feel of going into the garden to plant and harvest.
